Privacy & Support

Tonic collects no personal data. Full stop. Tonic is an educational reference app about dietary supplements, designed so that there is nothing to collect and nothing to leak.

What we collect

Nothing. Tonic has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. We do not know who you are, and we never see how you use the app.

What stays on your device

Everything you create in Tonic — the supplements in your stack, the goals you pick, your name if you enter one — is stored only on your device. It never leaves your phone and is never sent to us or anyone else. If you delete the app, that information is gone with it.

Scanning labels

If you use the label scanner, the camera image or photo is read on your device to recognize ingredient names, then discarded. The image is never saved and never uploaded. The only thing kept is what you approve: the recognized supplements added to your stack, stored on your device like everything else.

Reminders

If you turn on reminders, Tonic schedules local notifications on your phone. They are created and delivered entirely on your device — no server is involved, and nothing about your reminders leaves your phone. By default, reminder notifications show item counts rather than supplement names; naming them on the lock screen is a setting you choose.

Network use

Tonic works fully offline. The only time it can open a network connection is if you tap “Share feedback,” which opens your email app with a message pre-addressed to us. Sending it is your choice, and it contains only what you type.

Third parties

There are none. Tonic contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking software.

Children

Tonic does not collect data from anyone, including children.

Terms of use

By using Tonic you agree to these terms. Tonic is a reference app about dietary supplements: its grades and notes are general educational information, not medical advice, and using the app doesn’t create a clinician–patient relationship. Always speak with a qualified healthcare professional before you start, stop, or change any supplement or medication.

A Tonic grade reflects our reading of the weight of the peer-reviewed human literature at the time of writing, and grades change as the evidence does. The app is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, and to the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for any loss or harm arising from your use of, or reliance on, the app or its content.

Tonic is for your personal, non-commercial use — please don’t reverse-engineer it, scrape the catalogue, or resell the content; the Tonic name, design, and grades remain ours. Tonic may link to third-party sites or products; any link that earns us a commission is clearly marked as paid, right where it appears, and never affects a grade. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for them. We may update these terms as the app evolves; the current version always lives here with its date.

A note on health
